Happy Belated Birthday to Mom!

Gifts come in all shapes and sizes... They also come at different times :) Happy birthday to Mama Skeen... She's known that "something" would be coming for nearly 2 months now... She's been patient, as always. It's simple, but you may be surprise to see yourself featured!

Andrew's Graduation

Andrew graduated from the Marriott School of Business of BYU in August. His degree was in Information Systems and is enjoying working at Jive Communications, a business he has been co-operating for a couple of years now. The family enjoyed celebrating this great occasion with him on the same weekend that he and Rachel were sealed in the Timpanogos Temple. It was an eventful few days!

Mama Skeen is a Family History Machine!

Mom has recently found great success in her family history endeavors. She's amazing! Last just this last week the youth were able to go and perform temple baptisms for many of our ancestors from the Grauerholtz line (this is on Grandpa Behrens's side). The picture, above, is one of Grandma and Grandpa Chang, Suzie Aea and See Gun Chang and their three eldest. Stay posted for more great news about family history. If you have a moment, email or call mom and chat with her about some neat connections she's made! Go Mama!

St. George Marathon

Mom and Mariah came in town from Bellevue, and Andrew and Rachel, Kevin and Kristen all drove down to St.George to watch Jenni run the marathon along with President Pulsipher (and his 3-generation trio- him, his son and grandson!) and Connie Galeria (Jenni's faithful 6-year + running friend). It was a beautiful race day in the Fall, October 6th. They were the best fans ever! Mom even shared some tears with Jenni at the finish... that's what Mom's are for (who ever thought running could make us cry... well it did!). I am so grateful for a loving Father in Heaven who gave me the experience that I had- I will not forget that it was a miracle race... It all mounted to a finish time 3:34:55, beating my personal goal time by 5:05 and qualifying for the Boston Marathon! The knee held up better than on any training runs, and it is working great still today. His tender mercies come in all shapes and sizes. Life is painted with joy.

Kevin took some great action-photos at the end of the race... stay posted for more to come with the family and mission president.

Zupan Cousins

This last weekend, we enjoyed getting together with Aunt Judy and some of her kids. Rachel is still a great mom with Alex, who dressed up as superman for pre-halloween celebrations, Lauren a cute Harmon's grocery store worker (very cute, might I add), Nick is driving a red how car (I should know the model, but I'm inept in that area), Judy is a great teacher at a local Elementary School still as well as a good cook and homemaker and aunt, Daniel and Emily are still happy and looking forward to more schooling for Daniel at the U in engineering... Still more to come! Please post or comment if you so desire!

Skeeners of Washington

Since we can't get enough each other between marriages and family vacations, perhaps a blog will help the fun keep going! So let's try this out and see how it goes!? There is much to back-blog on from this summer, so feel free to be a "back-blogger" for a while... have fun with it!
